Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Project Manager for Utility Systems & Solutions in Wendell, NC. The role focuses on managing switchgear and motor control projects within Power Distribution Centers for utility end users and partners.

You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and logistics, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The position is hybrid, with opportunities for growth within Siemens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience managing similar portfolios.
• Experience in Power distribution industry (MV or HV).
• PMP certification required within 1 year of employment.
• 20% travel required (national and international).

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
• Responsible for cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly.
• Provide regular updates to PMO and executive management on work performed, plans, budget, and status, with growth strategy for the program.
• Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
• Manage customer expectations across all projects and internal functions on project cycle and lead single and multi-product MV solutions projects.
• Direct diagnostics to determine root cause and corrective actions while controlling nonconformance cost.
• Collaborate with PMO teams to ensure consistency and share best practices for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
