Siemens is seeking a Project Manager for Utility Systems & Solutions – Switchgear products in Wendell, NC. You will lead large MV switchgear and motor control projects within Power Distribution Centers, coordinating across internal teams and with utility customers. This hybrid role requires 5+ years of managing similar portfolios, a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, and PMP within 1 year.

Travel approx. 20%; MS Office and MS Project proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience managing similar portfolios in power distribution.
• Experience in medium or high voltage power distribution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• PMP certification within 1 year of employment; 20% travel required.

Responsabilités

• Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
• Manage cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Provide regular updates to team, PMO and executive management within Siemens and customers’ organization on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status—along with strategy to grow the program.
• Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
• Manage customer expectations across all the projects and various internal functions on project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects.
• Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions while controlling nonconformance cost.
• Collaborate with other PMO teams at the EA, Siemens Industry, and within other segments to ensure consistency and alignment, along with the sharing of best practices to continuously improve program efficiency and customer satisfaction.
