Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation invites applications for a Project Manager I to be hybrid within the Chesapeake Utilities Territory. The role supports project delivery, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and governance under supervision, developing core PM skills.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have 0–3 years of PM or related experience, plus a valid driver’s license. This position offers a base salary and opportunities for growth with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 0-3 years of project management, engineering, construction, operations, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and maintenance of project execution plans.
• Coordinate project activities with engineering, construction, procurement, operations, and other functional teams.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules and milestone tracking.
• Assist with monitoring project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
• Collect and report project performance information and key performance indicators.
• Participate in project team meetings and document actions, decisions, and follow-up items.
• Support project risk identification, tracking, and mitigation activities.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting records, and governance requirements.
• Assist with change management and project reporting processes.
• Support project closeout activities and lessons learned documentation.
• Learn and apply company project management standards and governance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience supporting capital projects.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes.
