Job summary

University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of initiatives within the Center for Competencies, Skills, and Workforce Development (CCSW). You will translate leadership priorities into actionable plans and manage initiatives from concept through transition to operations.

You will work with faculty, academic units, and external partners to navigate university processes, manage timelines, and deliver scalable, repeatable processes for CBE and Skills Lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to adapt language for diverse audiences.
• Preferred: experience with competency-based education or related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Translate CCSW priorities into actionable implementation plans with scope, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage the full life-cycle of CCSW initiatives from concept to operations.
• Lead day-to-day project execution, meetings, action items, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate faculty and cross-campus stakeholders for CBE and Skills Lab initiatives.
• Navigate university processes for approvals, policies, and systems.
• Develop repeatable processes, templates, and readiness checklists for scaling.
• Identify risks and dependencies; resolve issues or elevate to leadership.
• Manage a portfolio of initiatives with status updates to CCSW leadership.
