Job summary

SBI Consultants LLC in New York seeks an experienced Project & Cost Manager to lead integrated project and cost management on complex construction assignments. This hybrid role requires coordinating with clients, designers, and contractors to keep scope, schedule, and budgets aligned.

The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of relevant experience, proficiency in cost estimation, risk assessment, and ERP/CAD tools, and a record of delivering value in challenging projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• 5–10 years of progressive, relevant industry experience with large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, project delivery phases, and cost benchmarking.
• Experience in all stages of the project lifecycle—from conceptual estimating through project close-out.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD or Building Modeling & Design Applications; ERP modules related to construction management.
• Desirable: CCP, CEP, EIT, PE, PMP, or equivalent professional accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimates, cost models, and quantity take-offs across project stages.
• Review change orders, contractor proposals, and scope modifications for accuracy.
• Provide cost analysis using market data for resource planning and decision-making.
• Conduct risk assessments, value engineering, and life-cycle cost analyses.
• Oversee cost deliverables and ensure alignment with standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical expertise, due diligence, feasibility, and dispute resolution services.
• Maintain SBI historical cost databases for future estimating accuracy.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to meet objectives on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with design teams, procurement, and client communications.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Estimators; participate in recruiting and performance evaluations.
• Support SBI Advisory Services with claims analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments.
