Job summary

CDM Smith has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across various locations in the U.S. Under limited guidance, the Project Controls Specialist develops basic to moderately complex cost and schedule baselines, collects monthly cost and schedule progress, and prepares standardized reports for management.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience, demonstrate strong knowledge of project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3 years of related experience may substitute.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate project costs and update requirements as needed.
• Monitor progress of deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Prepare client and internal status reports to communicate cost status and document trends.
• Provide additional support and perform other duties as required.
• Identify and communicate early warning signals to project managers; recommend resource realignments.
