Job summary

CDM Smith has an exciting new opportunity for a Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. Under limited guidance, the role develops basic to moderately complex cost and schedule baselines and prepares standardized reports for management.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, gather progress data, update schedules, perform EVM reporting, and conduct financial analyses while supporting integrated critical path schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulations.
• Gather project progress information to update basic to moderate complexity projects.
• Evaluate schedule dates, percent complete, resource requirements, and project accruals.
• Review schedule progress and resource productivity.
• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate costs.
• Monitor progress and expenditures versus forecasts.
• Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
• Conduct financial analyses including variance, risk, and profit/loss assessments.
• Document and assess the impact of project changes on cost and schedule baselines.
• Maintain integrated critical path schedules for major projects or portfolios.
