Job summary

Sentior, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to support energy storage and solar construction programs across the Carolinas and Florida. The role focuses on cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management within a PMO environment.

Ideal candidates have a strong Excel background, experience with large data sets, and a track record on multi-million dollar projects. Hybrid work in Charlotte, NC is available with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 9 years of project controls experience; 11+ years if no degree.
• Experience in a PMO environment or project controls team.
• Proven experience with multi-million dollar/high-risk projects.
• Advanced analytical and technical cost-related project controls skills.
• Expert level Excel proficiency and ability to use unfamiliar software.
• Ability to work with large data files and perform forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review and analysis of cost estimates including basis and qualifications.
• Review of project status from stakeholders and vendors.
• Monitor compliance with department requirements and standards.
• Provide analysis and forecasting of project cost performance.
• Assist with forecasting project cost impacts and risk management.
• Update cost and risk information in systems and tools.
• Lead and coach team members in cost control practices and methodologies.
