Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Accountant for a hybrid role in the Chicago area. You will manage project financials across developing and construction projects, including budgets, draws, and cash flow, while partnering with development and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting with 3+ years in commercial real estate development or project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of development accounting, job cost reporting, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly project financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Oversee project billing, lender draws, capital expenditures, retainage and cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams for accurate cost reporting.
• Support month-end/quarter-end/year-end close and external audits.
