Job summary

The Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) is seeking a Programs Research Assistant in partnership with UVA for UVA students on federal work-study. The hybrid position is based at 300 Preston Ave #206, Charlottesville, VA 22902, with a 10 hrs/week schedule and a $15/hr wage.

Undergraduate UVA students will contribute to CIC’s Programs team by building research and recruitment pipelines, researching networks and demographics, and assisting with outreach to entrepreneurs and community partners.

Qualifications

• Interest in small business and entrepreneurship.
• Interest in helping individuals from low-income backgrounds.
• Interest in learning more about community outreach.
• Strong research and data collection skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable reaching out to entrepreneurs and partners via phone and email.
• Proficiency with G Suite.

Responsibilities

• Build a research and recruitment pipeline for the Culpeper Orange Entrepreneur Workshop (COW).
• Support the Entrepreneurial Impact Manager with community outreach.
• Collect and organize data on resources, networks, demographics, and program partners.
• Coordinate with entrepreneurs and partners via phone and email.
• Assist with program recruitment and outreach activities.
