Job summary

The Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) Nephi Office is seeking a Program Manager to lead a team of child welfare professionals and drive program goals, quality, and safety for children and families in the region.

As a supervisor, you will manage staffing, coach team members, and apply data to QA; coordinate with private providers, law enforcement, and the Children’s Justice Center. 24-hour on-call duties may be required. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Must have Utah driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of SAFE, child welfare laws, rules, regulations, and Practice Guidelines.
• Experience with DCFS or child welfare services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: manage a team of child welfare professionals including hiring, workload, delegation, training, performance evaluation, and corrective actions.
• Coaching & Development: field coaching and shadow observations; ongoing coaching and mentoring for growth and best practices.
• Data-Driven Management & QA: use data metrics to measure performance and conduct QA reviews for high-quality service delivery.
• Program Quality & Strategy: monitor operations and programs; develop plans, policies, and resources to meet goals.
• Community Coordination: partner with private providers, law enforcement, the Children’s Justice Center, County Attorneys, and others as required.
• On-Call Demands: perform 24-hour on-call services as needed.
