Job summary

William Paterson University is seeking Professors in Residence to support Professional Development Schools (PDS). The role involves leading PD activities, aligning with school goals, and connecting district staff to university programs.

The position is remote-friendly and hybrid, with a four-day summer work week and a commitment of time at the PDS site. Qualified candidates bring a Masters in Education and significant teaching experience across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Masters in an Education related field.
• Five or more years teaching experience at varying grade levels.
• Appropriate certification in needed content areas (e.g., Early Childhood, ELA, SPED, ESL, Math, Science, the Arts).
• Ability to work both online and in person during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Lead or facilitate professional development for teachers and staff.
• Meet with school principal/director to establish scope of work and SMART goals.
• Serve as WP liaison to the PDS school and connect staff to university programs.
• Work 6 hours per week at the PDS site (16 days per semester or 32 days per year).
