Job summary

The New York Times Company is seeking a System Analyst to support the operation and maintenance of infrastructure for our publishing and production operations. You will work with internal teams, vendors, and third-party developers to ensure systems integrate with our production environment.

You will report to the Manager of Production Systems at the College Point plant in Queens, NY and will be hybrid, with 3 days on-site. The role requires occasional off-hours during migrations and outages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of Systems Analyst experience.
• Experience supporting publishing, preprint, and print workflows.
• Proficiency in virtual server environments, firewall and security.
• Skills in networking, DNS, IP, GPOs, and database concepts.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, test, and maintain infrastructure of applications controlling publishing and production.
• Create technical specifications and manage related JIRA tickets.
• Write system and user documentation and provide training to users.
• Support and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party developers.
