Job summary

Vero Biotech, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing activities, secure goods, and nurture supplier relationships to optimize procurement operations in a dynamic biotechnologies environment.

You will enter purchase orders in NetSuite ERP, coordinate exceptions through receipt and billing, and work to maintain optimal inventory levels while negotiating terms and prices with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of direct purchasing experience or involvement in procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry.
• Understanding of purchase order processes.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP system.
• APICS certifications, Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing activities, securing goods, and managing supplier relationships to optimize procurement operations.
• Enter purchase orders in NetSuite ERP system and coordinate exceptions as needed throughout the receipt and billing cycle.
• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing while ensuring quality standards and timely delivery.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary, avoiding overstock and out-of-stock situations.
• Market Analysis: Keep up to date with market trends and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Cost Management: Seek the best combination of quality, price, payment terms, and delivery by comparing suppliers.
