Job summary

GHD is seeking a Procurement Specialist in the Phoenix area to support vendor lifecycle, onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring and renewals. The role collaborates with project teams, negotiates terms, and drives sustainable procurement while aligning with ESG goals.

The position offers a hybrid work model with preferred location in Phoenix, AZ, and consideration for Tucson, AZ and Niagara Falls, NY. A degree in a related field and 3+ years of procure-to-pay experience are favored.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in business administration, procurement, finance, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience using contract management or procure-to-pay systems.
• Experience with Salesforce and BST cost accounting software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit purchase orders aligned with contract requirements.
• Review purchase orders for compliance with procurement guidelines.
• Initiate and negotiate Framework Agreements with preferred vendors.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and prequalification.
• Engage with vendors on ESG topics and supplier relationships.
• Work closely with projects teams to understand procurement needs.
• Negotiate pricing and business terms and coordinate with Legal to minimize risk.
• Assist with sustainable procurement reporting and analysis.
• Enter data in vendor management and procurement systems.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies between POs and invoices.
• Review and closeout purchase orders.
