Hitachi Rail STS USA, INC. is offering an Intern – Procurement Buyer position in Pittsburgh, PA, for Summer 2027. The role provides real-world procurement exposure, paid internship status, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

The successful candidate will assist with spend reporting, RFP/RFQ documentation, PO and final contract work, and supplier performance reviews, while gaining insight into Hitachi's global mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of Procurement experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with SAP and SAP E-Auctions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure periodical spend reporting at Procurement Geographic Area Level.
• Support local procurement activity with RFP/RFQ documentation.
• Support PO/Final Contract documentation for local procurement commodities.
• Support supplier performance analyses via feedback from internal customers.
• Assist business functions with procurement actions aimed at cost reduction.
