Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Process Automation Developer to design, implement, and support automation solutions that streamline manual processes and reduce compliance risk. You will collaborate with Engineers, Business Process Analysts, and other technical staff to clarify requirements and deliver reliable automation in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred candidates have 1+ years of Python development experience, familiarity with data environments and APIs, and a strong understanding of SDLC and Kanban

Qualifications

• Proficient Python programming with focus on automation.
• Experience with data environments, pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and back-end data systems.
• Experience following SDLC and Kanban in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports automation solutions using diverse tools and platforms.
• Continuously improves existing automation for efficiency and risk reduction.
• Provides troubleshooting support to teammates as needed.
• Executes automation tasks independently when scoped by an engineer.
