Job summary

EisnerAmper LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join the Private Client Services (PCS) team in Chicago. The role emphasizes engagement coordination, tax compliance, and planning for individuals and entities, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

The position requires 4+ years of tax experience, a bachelor’s in accounting, and relevant CPA/EA credentials. ProSystems FX, CCH Engagement, or XCM experience is preferred, in a firm known for growth and work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or with a mix of public/private experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, trust/estates, and/or entities.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification or parts passed towards completion.
• Experience using ProSystems FX, CCH Engagement, XCM or similar tax software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise multiple engagements including consulting, compliance, and tax planning services.
• Prepare federal, state, multi-state and international income tax returns.
• Conduct research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices.
• Communicate with clients as directed by Manager.
• Work as part of an integrated team.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of Interns and Associates.
