Job summary

TriHealth Corporate Office in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist (Certified Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician) to coordinate PA processes, verify insurance, and ensure timely access to medications. Ideal candidates have a CMA or Pharmacy Technician certification, 2–3 years of related experience, and familiarity with Epic

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; Pharmacy background helpful.
• Certification as Pharmacy Technician or CMA desired; healthcare experience valued.
• Experience with medication Epic and/or prior authorizations is desirable.
• 2-3 years' experience as Clinical Pharmacy Technician or Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all aspects of the prior authorization process, including insurance verification and formulary reviews.
• Communicates with patients, prescribers, and physician office staff in a timely manner.
• Submits PA applications with all required supporting documentation to insurers.
• Reviews medical records to obtain demographic and clinical information as needed.
