Job summary

MKS Inc. is seeking a Principal DevOps Architect, Engineering Services, to shape how engineering teams build, test, secure, and deliver software. You will lead enterprise CI/CD strategy and modernize a diverse tool landscape across multiple platforms.

You will partner with Security, IT, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, automated, and auditable pipelines, with two days in the office weekly in a hybrid setup. This is a high-impact, principal-level role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of progressive DevOps/DevSecOps experience.
• 5+ years building or modernizing enterprise CI/CD platforms.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD architecture and software lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, CloudBees CI, Perforce, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for MKS’s enterprise DevOps capability.
• Modernize and simplify a complex DevOps ecosystem spanning multiple tools.
• Architect reusable CI/CD solutions with templates and pipelines for scale.
• Identify friction, debt, and reliability gaps; drive automation and standardization.
• Partner with Security and IT to embed DevSecOps controls and secure delivery.
• Set direction across teams while supporting different products and environments.
• Establish the DevOps Center of Excellence with standards, docs, and training.
• Serve as a principal-level technical advisor to solving CI/CD and platform challenges.
• Improve reliability and supportability through automation, observability, and better practices.
