Job summary

MKS seeks a Principal DevOps Architect, Engineering Services, to shape and govern the enterprise DevOps strategy across tooling and platforms. You will partner with engineering, IT, and Security to implement scalable CI/CD, DevSecOps, and reliability practices.

You will lead architecture, create reusable automation, and drive platform governance while advancing developer experience and compliance. Hybrid role; two days in office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Eng, IT, MIS, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform or related engineering roles.
• 5+ years building or modernizing enterprise CI/CD across multiple teams/sites.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD architecture, lifecycle practices, source control and release engineering.
• Hands-on with major tools listed under qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for MKS’s enterprise DevOps capability.
• Modernize and simplify the DevOps ecosystem across multiple tooling.
• Architect reusable CI/CD solutions with templates, libraries, and release patterns.
• Identify friction, debt, and automation opportunities to scale delivery.
• Partner with Security and IT to embed secure software delivery practices.
• Lead the DevOps Center of Excellence and mentor engineers.
• Serve as a principal technical advisor for CI/CD, platform, and DevSecOps challenges.
• Improve reliability and observability of engineering platforms.
