Job summary

Raymond James Financial, Inc. seeks an experienced enterprise AI architect to lead architecture, design, and delivery of AI-enabled enterprise applications.

You will drive standards for intelligent agents, orchestration, and retrieval-augmented workflows while guiding full-stack teams using Angular, Java/Spring Boot, and REST APIs. The role requires 10+ years in enterprise software with leadership experience, and a track record in secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software.
• 5+ years leading development teams and enterprise initiatives.
• Expert knowledge of Java (17+), Spring Boot, Angular (16+), REST APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of OO design, architecture, patterns, and secure coding.
• Experience designing scalable enterprise apps and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL, messaging platforms, and API-driven architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to evaluate new tech and align with business goals.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions that automate complex processes.
• Define standards and patterns for intelligent agents, multi-agent systems, and AI-enabled apps.
• Design workflows combining rules, integration, retrieval, and AI reasoning for business automation.
• Evaluate and integrate new AI technologies to boost productivity and capabilities.
• Drive adoption of AI engineering best practices, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Lead full stack development with Angular, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
• Create reusable frameworks and platform capabilities for rapid agent development.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Infra, and product stakeholders to scope solutions.
• Mentor engineers in AI engineering, full stack, and enterprise software architecture.
• Lead design sessions, reviews, and establish engineering standards.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and delivery with quality.
• Participate in production support, troubleshooting, and platform improvement.
