Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Primary Care PACT and Spinal Cord Injury Physician to deliver comprehensive primary care within the PACT framework (40%) and specialized SCI/D care (60%) for veterans.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD/DO degree and full, unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency or board certification in a core specialty with eligibility for certification.
• Proficient in English, with experience in neurorehabilitation or SCI often preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions.
• Provide primary care within the PACT model and coordinate SCI/D care.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other team members.
• Prescribe medications and therapies and manage spasticity, pain, bladder and bowel function.
• Educate patients and families and advocate for SCI/D patients within the healthcare system.
