American Family Insurance is seeking a pricing actuary analyst to support actuarial pricing and ratemaking activities for an assigned line of business. You will analyze loss, premium, and expense experience to inform rate indications and pricing decisions.

The role is hybrid, with a minimum of 10 days per month in the Boston or Madison office locations. Relocation support is offered and internal candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel; programming or querying language knowledge.
• Experience performing statistical/actuarial analyses and modeling.
• Understanding of pricing, rates, and underwriting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experience analyses (loss, premium, expense) to support pricing strategy.
• Support market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist with actuarial modeling to quantify risk and evaluate pricing options.
• Provide technical support for rate filings with state departments.
• Prepare analyses for pricing meetings and stakeholder discussions.
• Develop and maintain pricing tools, templates, and reporting.
• Assist with pricing analyses for new products and coverages.
