Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Premium Billing Specialist to join our finance team in Virginia Beach. This on-site role offers a day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with training after which you may work from home two days per week.

You will balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivable, maintain accurate billing data in spreadsheets, post payments, generate monthly AR reports, and support collections and communications with involved groups to ensure timely financial transactions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related billing and accounts receivable experience.
• Proficient with billing systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivable.
• Update spreadsheets with current AP/AR data and verify billing accuracy.
• Post payments and generate monthly AR reports.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $22.02 - $32.66 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
