Job summary

Harvard Business School in Boston is seeking multiple Predoctoral Research Associates starting Summer 2027 to support an assigned faculty member across several academic units. The role emphasizes independence, intellectual curiosity, and strong data-analysis skills.

Ideal candidates will perform data-driven research, write policy memos, and collaborate closely with faculty using STATA, Python, R, and NLP techniques. This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations at Harvard.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a GPA above 3.5 is required.
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Work with faculty on questions central to the research agenda.
• Write cases, reports and memos from concept to publication.
• Develop, design, and implement research using data science and NLP.
• Manage and manipulate data with STATA, Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Ensure compliance with department, university policies and research standards.
• Build collaboration by engaging with colleagues on-site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
