Job summary

Harvard Business School is seeking multiple Predoctoral Research Associates starting in Summer 2027 to support an assigned faculty member across units. The role reports to faculty supervisors in the Research Staff Services office and offers a hybrid on-site/remote schedule at our Boston campus.

Primary duties include assisting with research design, writing cases and policy memos, performing data analysis with STATA, Python, R, or MATLAB, and ensuring compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with GPA above 3.5 is required.
• Proven evidence of independent research and high-quality writing is helpful.
• Ability to write cases, reports, and policy memos for business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work with faculty on central research topics in HBS agenda.
• Write cases, project reports, and policy memos from start to finish.
• Develop and implement research using data science and NLP.
• Manage data using STATA, Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and communicate progress.
• Collaborate on-site with colleagues and stakeholders.
