Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance seeks a predictive modeler to join our analytics teams. After initial in-person training, this role may have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week, though we are not hiring fully remote at this time.

You will develop models, analyze large data sets, and document methods for regulatory alignment. Build and monitor models, present results clearly to stakeholders, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent.
• Experience with statistical modeling or data science concepts.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use statistical or machine learning techniques to build models addressing business needs.
• Work with large, complex data sets and learn Auto-Owners data structures.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results to stakeholders with clear visuals.
• Create documentation for models and monitor performance for iterative improvements.
