Job summary

Qualifications

Ability to read and communicate effectively
Basic computer/keyboard skills; intermediate math competence
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and handling skills
Knowledge of healthcare terminology and CPT-ICD10 codes
Experience in insurance verification and claim adjudication preferred
HFMA certification preferred
Comfortable with ambiguity and good decision making

Responsibilities

Resolve referral, precertification, and prior authorization for commercial, government and other payors across hospital, ED and clinic settings
Perform pre‑appointment insurance review (PAIR) and denials recovery within Patient Access
Process pre‑certification and prior authorization for WC/TPL, managed care and HMO accounts
Handle assigned registration denials and adhere to QA guidelines and productivity standards
