Mayo Clinic is seeking a Precertification and Authorization Representative in a hybrid role within 100 miles of Mayo Clinic campuses. You will handle referrals, precertifications, and prior authorizations across multiple payors for inpatient, ED, and ambulatory settings.

The position requires a high school diploma or bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, and familiarity with healthcare terminology. This role supports PAIR and denials recovery tasks as part of the Patient Access team.

Qualifications

• Reading and communicating effectively is required.
• Basic computer skills and intermediate math competency.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and CPT-ICD10 codes is useful.

Responsibilities

• Resolve referrals, precertification, and prior authorization for insurance plans.
• Support pre-appointment insurance review and denials recovery within Patient Access.
• Process pre-certification and prior authorization for various payors as needed.
• Adhere to QA guidelines and productivity standards.
