Qualifications

• Associate Degree in finance, business or healthcare related majors with 1 year in medical billing and collection.
• OR High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years’ experience in medical billing and collection.
• OR Certified pharmacy tech with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the billing and collection processes for one or more Mayo Clinic business lines (outpatient pharmacy, durable medical equipment, SNF, home health agency or continuing care retirement center).
• Process service pre-certification, insurance coverage review and personal responsibility determination.
• Communicate Mayo Clinic policies regarding financial aspects of patient care to assure optimal reimbursement.

Education

Associate Degree in finance, business or healthcare related majors

High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years’ experience in medical, pharmacy or durable medical equipment billing and collection activities

Certified pharmacy tech with 2 years of experience
