Job summary

UW Medicine IT Services is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead programs and projects that span its business units in collaboration with Fred Hutch. The role emphasizes initiating efforts, delivering outcomes, and coordinating dashboards for senior leadership.

You will guide multiple teams, manage resources, schedules, and budgets in a hybrid work setting, with frequent interaction with executives and stakeholders. A healthcare/tech/business background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience leading technology and/or business projects.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and multi-stakeholder teams.
• Experience in IT portfolio, program, and project management.
• Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working in a cross-functional matrix environment.
• Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of organizational change management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs and projects spanning UW Medicine ITS and Fred Hutch.
• Initiate projects and ensure deliverables align with strategy.
• Analyze business processes and data and manage dashboards/reports.
• Oversee resources, schedules, scope, and budgets.
• Identify risks, issues, and change requests; drive resolution.
• Direct testing and configuration activities; support implementation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and governance.
• Present to executives and coordinate cross-team communications.
