Job summary

C.H. Robinson is seeking an Associate Portfolio Executive to build and manage a customer portfolio, developing long-term relationships while leveraging AI-powered tools to simplify quoting, planning, and scheduling.

You will operate with autonomy, supported by a global scale and structured onboarding, coaching, and recognition for results. In this role, you will drive growth by re-engaging dormant accounts, expanding within existing customers, and coordinating with carriers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months Customer Engagement Experience internal or external.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a portfolio of customers, strengthening relationships and uncovering needs to convert opportunities into active business.
• Re-engage dormant accounts and expand within existing customers to increase volume, revenue, and wallet share.
• Own day-to-day customer interactions by responding quickly to questions, managing exceptions and escalations, and resolving conflict professionally.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners to meet customer commitments and service expectations.
• Quote and price freight, applying negotiation skills, market insight, and customer buying patterns to execute pricing strategy.
• Plan, build, and execute shipments aligned to customer expectations (with AI agent support).
• Identify account growth potential and cultivate transactional relationships into more committed partnerships supported by business development resources.
• Use data and market updates to uncover service and growth opportunities and inform daily priorities.
• Improve how work gets done by adopting new tools/technology and documenting SOPs.
• Operate with urgency and a team-first mindset by supporting teammates’ customers when needed.
