Job summary

Brookings Institution is seeking a Senior Research Assistant to help develop and execute an overall policy agenda within The Hamilton Project. You will perform original policy analysis, co-author research, analyze data, and present findings both visually and in writing, supporting THP-affiliated authors on economics policy topics.

You will contribute to writing, editing, and maintaining THP data dashboards, and assist with policy proposal management, timelines, and feedback consolidation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant economics or policy research work experience required.
• Strong quantitative and analytic skills; experience with Stata or R, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct policy research and develop policy ideas with Hamilton Project staff.
• Analyze data using Excel, STATA, R and present findings visually and in writing.
• Coordinate paper drafts, track timelines, and ensure quality control with staff.
