Job summary

Brookings Institution is seeking a Research Assistant for the Hamilton Project to develop and execute policy agendas in economics. You will perform policy-relevant analyses, co-author research, and present findings to policy audiences.

The role emphasizes data analysis, writing, and collaboration with senior staff, with a hybrid work arrangement in Washington, DC. A BA in economics or related field is required and U.S. work authorization is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field is required, with relevant economics/policy research experience.
• Strong quantitative/analytic and writing/editing skills; experience with Stata or R and MS Office.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing the Hamilton Project policy agenda and strategy; contribute to original policy-relevant research.
• Independently analyze data and present findings visually and in writing; create data visuals and dashboards.
• Provide research support to the Director, Associate Director, and commissioned authors; help with production of Hamilton Project work.
