Amerisure Insurance Company is seeking a Platform Engineer II to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. This hybrid role balances in-office collaboration (3 days) with remote work (2 days) to support a scalable, self-service internal developer platform.

You will collaborate with application engineering teams to optimize cloud-based solutions, implement IaC, and ensure security and reliability across development, staging, and production environments.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE focused on developer platforms.
• 3 years with DevOps, CI/CD, and version control systems.
• 3 years with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI).
• 3 years with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• 3 years with containerization/orchestration (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying large-scale data platforms on the cloud (Databricks, Aurora, RDS).
• Proven ability to design self-service infrastructure, preferably in microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement platform services for scalability and reliability.
• Maintain infrastructure codebase with strong security practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated provisioning, and monitoring.
• Use IaC to ensure consistent environments across dev, staging, and prod.
• Monitor platform performance with logging/alerting (Datadog, PagerDuty).
• Manage containerized environments (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Develop scalable data platform infra using Databricks and AWS RDS.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve deployment workflows.
• Ensure security/compliance and automate related processes.
• Explore automation to optimize data workflows and infra.
