Job summary

Council for the Homeless in Vancouver, WA seeks a Philanthropy and Events Manager to develop and oversee strategies for annual fundraising campaigns and special events. You will cultivate donor relationships, manage the annual giving program, and collaborate with communications to craft donor communications using storytelling and data insights.

You will lead planning for events, build sponsorships, track fundraising progress, and ensure alignment with the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with donors, staff, and partners.
• Knowledge of donor management software and event planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual giving strategy targeting new and existing donors.
• Oversee direct mail, digital campaigns, email outreach, and donor appeals to meet fundraising goals.
• Build sponsorship packages and cultivate relationships with sponsors.
• Manage donor acknowledgements, segmentation, tracking, and recognition to enhance retention.
• Create donor recognition programs and analyze annual giving data for improvements.
• Develop and manage budgets for annual giving campaigns and track expenses.
