Job summary

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in Glendale, CA, is hiring a Peer Support Specialist for our Adult Services. This hybrid role offers a 9/80 flex schedule with a pay range of $21.38–$24.59 per hour.

You will engage clients, foster advocacy, and connect individuals with resources within a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates have lived experience with recovery, a Peer Support Certification, and strong communication skills to support clients’ recovery journeys across outpatient and community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified as a Peer Support Specialist after training.
• Minimum one year work experience; behavioral health or peer support preferred.
• Lived experience of mental health/substance use recovery required.

Responsibilities

• Orient clients and support networks to mental health and social services systems.
• Use strength-based, recovery-oriented approaches to help clients build coping skills.
• Provide self-directed recovery goals through shared decision-making.
• Facilitate peer support sessions and peer-led groups.
• Assist with daily living skills like budgeting, shopping, and transportation.
• Document accurately and maintain boundaries with clients.
