Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department in a hybrid role based in Northeast New Jersey. The position focuses on payroll and benefits accounting, journal entries, and intercompany invoicing, supporting accurate reporting and close processes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improve processes and controls within a dynamic, remote-friendly team.

Qualifications

• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
