Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to support the North America Finance Department. The role focuses on payroll and benefits accounting, journal entries, variances, and process improvements in a hybrid New Jersey setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to accurate reporting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entries.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office products, and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
