Job summary

ManpowerGroup in the Northeast New Jersey area seeks a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the North America Finance team in a hybrid role. You will support month-end close processes, payroll and benefits accounting, and related intercompany activity.

You will collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting, analyze variances, and propose process improvements to strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office Products, and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
