Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department supporting the North America Market. The role blends payroll and benefits accounting with month-end close tasks and internal controls in a hybrid New Jersey setting.

The ideal candidate has a BS in finance or accounting, solid accounting knowledge, and experience with SAP, MS Office, and Blackline. You will collaborate with payroll teams, prepare intercompany payroll invoices, analyze variances, and drive

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office Products, and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
