Job summary

Medical Service Co. is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to handle private pay billing inquiries. The role offers a hybrid schedule with in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and remote work on other days.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of healthcare billing experience, strong communication, and organization skills. Eligible employees receive a full benefits package including HSA, life/AD&D, disability, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of healthcare billing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for patients regarding private pay billing inquiries.
• Follow up on declined credit card transactions, ACH transactions, and disputes.
• Direct contact for patients regarding the Method of Payment system.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of billing activity.
• Communicate problems to the Business Analytics and Direct Pay Manager.
• Coordinate with contracted collection agency inquiries.
• All other duties as assigned.
