Qualifications

• Associate degree in finance, business or healthcare related majors and 1 year experience in medical, pharmacy or durable medical equipment billing and collection activities
• High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years’ experience in medical, pharmacy or durable medical equipment billing and collection activities
• Certified pharmacy tech with 2 years of experience
• Ideal candidate will have prior experience submitting outpatient pharmacy prior authorizations
• Prior Pharmacy Tech, LPN Or MAA Experience Strongly Preferred
• HFMA Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform billing and collection processes for multiple business lines: pre-certification, insurance coverage reviews, denials, rebilling, appeals and AR management
• Communicate Mayo Clinic policies on financial aspects of patient care to assure optimal reimbursement
• Interact with patients and internal customers to resolve billing and payment issues for various stakeholders
