Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid NYS teaching certification in Special Education is required at appointment.
• Experience assessing and planning special education services for children in Early Intervention or Preschool programs is preferred.
• Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and work within Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts special education assessments to determine cognitive, developmental, and behavioral needs.
• Plans and provides services in the child’s least restrictive environment per IFSP/IEP.
• Develops age-appropriate educational outcomes and goals for students.
• Maintains communication with families, educators, and treatment teams.
• Attends team conferences and maintains student records and reports.
