Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Pharmacist in NM and have CPR/First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, federal/state and CARF standards and regulations.
• Understanding of methadone program requirements and safety policies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong documentation and computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a medical team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drugs are handled safely to protect patient welfare.
• Set facility policies on drug handling and distribution; review annually.
• Maximize safety and efficacy in pharmaceutical services.
• Avoid improper financial arrangements or rebates with practitioners.
• Document all visits and activities, including irregularities.
• Provide training to staff responsible for medication receipt and administration.
• Handle stressful situations and maintain patient profiles.
• Dispense take-home medication to eligible patients.
• Maintain methadone inventories and place/receive orders.
• Conduct biennial inventory and participate in regulatory surveys/audits.
• Perform all duties ethically and professionally.
