Job summary

FM is seeking a Paralegal I to provide legal and transactional support to FM, HBRE, and affiliates. The role covers mergers and acquisitions, real estate, investment transactions, due diligence, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on risk assessment and practical solutions.

The Paralegal I works under attorney supervision, handling matters with independence, and collaborates with senior management, insurance professionals, and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of relevant work experience in a large corporate environment or medium-to-large law firm.
• Experience in a matrixed organization is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Support asset management and private investment transactions; prepare due diligence summaries for attorney review.
• Maintain data rooms, track timelines, and coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel.
• Assist in real estate matters: leases, due diligence, review title and zoning, coordinate with transaction participants.
• Manage matter repositories and provide administrative support for the department.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives and special projects.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations affecting investments and corporate governance.
