Job summary

Chico State Enterprises is seeking an Accounting Technician to support procurement card programs, accounts payable, and financial administration. The role focuses on cardholder management, compliance, and reporting within a collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems, delivering training and ensuring adherence to CSU and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Education or experience providing the knowledge and abilities required to perform technical accounting and financial-recordkeeping duties.
• Experience with accounting, accounts payable, procurement, purchasing cards, or financial administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for the issuance, modification, suspension, and cancellation of P-Cards.
• Review monthly P-Card packets, statements, receipts, and approvals for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide P-Card training and guidance to cardholders and approving officials.
• Reconcile P-Card activity with bank statements, accounting records, and cardholder submissions.
• Identify and address documentation deficiencies and communicate with cardholders and officials.
• Support audits and identify improvements to P-Card processes and monitoring.
