Job summary

Verizon Communications is hiring for a hybrid role based in Maryland. You will manage planning and project activities for the Outside Plant Network, including structures, cables, and equipment, coordinating across Engineering, Operations, and external partners.

You will design, price, and oversee network additions and upgrades, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment. Strong program management and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of work experience.
• Three+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Technical or project management experience.
• Knowledge of PC and software applications including Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive), Windows and MS Office.
• A valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Handle planning and project management for engineering, buildout, maintenance, and enhancements to Verizon’s Outside Plant Network.
• Develop plans for constructing and maintaining outside plant infrastructure based on network build-out and business needs.
• Drive complex projects and programs to achieve business goals and key objectives.
• Plan, design, and project manage network additions, upgrades, repairs, and enhancements.
• Select and price solutions based on effective, efficient design.
• Guide Engineering and Operations to monitor infrastructure and troubleshoot issues.
• Direct internal departments and liaise with end-users, contractors, and property owners to implement solutions.
• Develop service order requirements and solutions based on customer demands.
• Maintain excellent communication with teams and customers for early issue identification and status reporting.
• Provide guidance to Engineering and Construction teams to implement projects.
• Develop and execute engineering projects with appropriate teams.
