Job summary

Advocate Health’s Westhaven Behavioral Health team in Wisconsin seeks an outpatient psychotherapist to provide episodic care across ages in a hybrid in-person/virtual setting. The role focuses on quality therapy across individuals, couples, families, and groups with crisis intervention as needed.

The position requires relevant licensure (WI/IL) and a Master’s degree in SW or Psychology; typically 1 year of experience in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Counselor license (WI or IL) or equivalent licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker.
• Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology (Clinical/Counseling) is required.
• Typically requires 1 year of therapy experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality individual, couple, family and/or group therapy for diverse patients.
• Offers crisis intervention as needed and available 24 hours for current caseload.
• Conducts assessments, diagnoses, and monitors treatment plans and interventions.
• Provides case management and utilization review; educates patient and family as needed.
• Refers to internal/external services; coordinates discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Participates in supervision, peer review, and clinical team treatment staffing.
• Engages in community education and outreach, including referral development and marketing.
• Accurately documents treatment plans, discharge summaries, aftercare plans, and billing records.
• Contributes to treatment development and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assesses age-appropriate care requirements and adapts care according to department policies.
